This is my favorite post of the year, my annual “Best Of” blog. It gives me a chance to reflect on how I grew my business, my work and what I can continually improve on. Although it’s weird to see the word “Best” paired up with “2020”. We all know what happened so I’m not going to rehash it.

After my March wedding, things suddenly came to a halt. I didn’t pick up my camera for three months. I didn’t shoot another wedding until August! But in the midst of learning how to live with ‘the new normal’, some amazing things happened at James Webb Photography.

Once restrictions were lifted, I hosted my own workshop! It was designed to help photographers create a ‘Rockstar Client Experience’ for their clients. I held the workshop with a dozen local photographers in Philadelphia. I’m a Training Specialist for a National mortgage company, so teaching content on something I’m passionate about was seamless! It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do it again!

I also increased my business by 163%!!! I booked 12 more weddings in 2020 than 2019. With a handful of 2020 weddings postponed to 2021, it’s going to be a crazy year for JWP!

I revamped my website to increase informative content, and partnered up with two local venues, becoming a preferred vendor. This allows me to work at venues that I love and know like the back of my hand. I also worked on capturing more candid moments and photojournalistic moments. This helped me capture the wedding day story so my clients can look back at their day and remember it in it’s entirety.

2020 also introduced me to some amazing experiences and clients. I worked at gorgeous venues, shot engagement sessions at some cool locations and made new friends along the way. As a photographer, I get to build relationships with clients in a way that no other vendor does. The new friendships are so rewarding!

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re a JWP client. Thank you for everything. I pour everything I have into delivering creative, unique photos that evoke emotion and a positive experience from the time you first log onto my website, to the time you look at your photos for the first time. Thank you for trusting me and I can’t wait to create some damn cool photography for my 2021 clients!!!

Here are some of my favorites from every single 2020 wedding and engagement session!
