Samantha and Frank Normandy Farms Wedding Photos

I’m not quite sure how Samantha and Frank found me, but when they contacted me to capture their Normandy Farms wedding, I had a great feeling about them. Like most of my clients, we just clicked from the moment we spoke, to their really cool Longwood Gardens engagement session. Sam’s cheerful demeanor and Frank’s happy go lucky attitude really made me look forward to their Normandy Farms Wedding!

Located near King of Prussia and the historic Valley Forge National Park, Normandy Farms is more than just a sprawling hotel and conference center. It’s actually a converted 18th century farm house built by American business man, Ralph Strassburger. The gorgeous ballrooms were once horse stables and create a very unique setting for their weddings. The staff is always friendly and provide a fantastic experience for their brides and grooms.

Taking over the place

Samantha occupied a whole level of one of the houses located on the grounds of  Normandy Farms, while Frank and his crew got ready in another suite. Giddy with excitement, the girls paced from room to room while across the parking lot the cool and collected guys cut up on each other. The mood in both places was filled with anticipation of seeing Samantha and Frank’s awesome day unfold. As I walked around and observed Samantha with her girls, you can see just how special they all meant to each other. They traded drinks, selfies and compliments such as “damn you look good” haha!

Sam had her girls wear different shoes, and Sam wore sneakers! I thought this was so cool! It added to each girl’s unique personalities and added flair to the wedding details.

When Sam put on her dress, you felt the place light up with love as her girls looked on. After some finishing touches, Sam was ready to see her dad!

Hey daddy!

Whenever a bride has a first look with her dad, a part of me can’t help but think about the day my little girl gets married. Sam’s dad stood outside waiting to see his little girl, and Sam stood at the doorway waiting to see her dad. You can tell both of them were trembling with excitement. Sam walked out, called out to her dad, he turned around, they hugged and enjoyed a sweet moment.

Hey baby!

Sam and Frank decided to have a first look before their ceremony. I absolutely loved this moment. You know it’s truly love and admiration when a guy who listens to hard core metal melts at the sight of his girl in her wedding dress. That’s exactly what Frank did when Sam called out his name. He turned around, love overcome him and they hugged, kissed and had their moment.

Picture time!

Right after their first look, my second shooter, Jenna and I took care of bridal party and family formals. This was such an awesome bridal party, just look how beautiful they are! And they were just as fun as they were beautiful! Just wait until you see their reception entrance photos!

Just Sam and Frank

After the bridal party and family photos, we took advantage of the gorgeous golden hour light and captured these photos for Sam and Frank.

I do

Finally, it was time to say ‘I do’. Sam and Frank said their wedding vows in the Silo Ballroom. The vaulted ceilings, rustic wood accents and intimate atmosphere set the mood. As guests took their seats, the men marched in, the girls pranced in and Sam and her dad entered the room to hundreds of smiling faces. As they walked down the aisle they turned towards each other and smiled as to say “love you, dad”. Samantha’s sisters could hardly keep from crying, her dad was crying, hell I think everyone was crying! Samantha’s flower girl added a little comic relief in the middle of the ceremony by running across the alter. Sometimes you just have to let a toddler do what they want!

Party Time

Sam and Frank danced, laughed, drank and celebrated the night away with their family and nearest and dearest friends. From the heartfelt speeches, delicious food and first dances, everyone had a great time! JWP wishes Sam and Frank all the very best! Love you guys!
